Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Generative Artificial Intelligence Research is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing high-quality, innovative research in the field of generative AI. To ensure a smooth submission and review process, we ask authors to carefully follow these guidelines. Submissions that do not comply with the journal’s requirements may be returned for revision prior to review.


1. Manuscript Preparation

1.1 General Formatting

  • Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise English. Authors are encouraged to use professional language editing services if needed.
  • Submit manuscripts in PDF format for initial submission, and provide source files (e.g., LaTeX or Word) upon acceptance.
  • Use a standard, legible font (e.g., Times New Roman, 12-point) with double spacing and 1-inch margins.

1.2 Manuscript Structure
Manuscripts should be organized as follows:

  1. Title Page: Include the manuscript title, authors’ names, affiliations, email addresses, and the corresponding author’s contact information.
  2. Abstract: Provide a concise summary (200–300 words) of the study's objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
  3. Keywords: List 4–6 keywords that reflect the manuscript’s content.
  4. Introduction: Clearly state the research problem, objectives, and significance of the study.
  5. Related Work: Summarize relevant prior research to provide context and demonstrate novelty.
  6. Methods: Provide sufficient detail to allow replication of the study.
  7. Results: Present key findings with appropriate visual aids (e.g., tables, figures).
  8. Discussion: Interpret the results, highlight their implications, and acknowledge limitations.
  9. Conclusion: Summarize key contributions and suggest directions for future research.
  10. Acknowledgments (if applicable): Recognize funding sources and contributors.
  11. References: Follow the journal’s referencing style (see Section 5).

1.3 Figures and Tables

  • All figures and tables should be numbered sequentially and include descriptive captions.
  • Use high-resolution images (minimum 300 dpi) in formats such as PNG, JPEG, or TIFF.
  • Place figures and tables within the text, near their first citation.

1.4 Equations

  • Use standard mathematical formatting, preferably with LaTeX.
  • Number equations sequentially and ensure all symbols are defined.

2. Submission Guidelines

2.1 Online Submission
Manuscripts must be submitted via the journal’s online submission portal at [Insert Link]. First-time users will need to create an account.

2.2 Ethical Considerations

  • Authors must ensure their work complies with ethical research practices, including obtaining necessary approvals for human or animal studies.
  • All authors must disclose any conflicts of interest.

2.3 Originality and Plagiarism
Submissions must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, is strictly prohibited and will result in desk rejection.

2.4 Preprint Policy
The journal allows submissions of manuscripts previously posted on preprint servers. However, authors must inform the editorial team and provide the preprint DOI during submission.


3. Peer-Review Process

All submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure fairness and quality.

3.1 Initial Screening
The editorial team screens submissions for adherence to guidelines and suitability for the journal’s scope. Submissions that fail to meet these criteria may be desk rejected.

3.2 Review Process

  • Manuscripts passing initial screening are assigned to experts for review.
  • Authors can expect initial feedback within 4–6 weeks.
  • Revisions must be submitted within the timeframe specified by the editorial team.

4. Accepted Manuscripts

4.1 Copyright and Licensing

  • Upon acceptance, authors must sign a copyright transfer agreement or select an open-access license.
  • The journal supports Creative Commons licensing for open-access articles.

4.2 Proofreading
Authors will receive proofs for final approval before publication. Corrections should be limited to typographical errors or formatting issues.

4.3 Publication Fees
The journal operates on an open-access model. Accepted manuscripts may be subject to an article processing charge (APC). Details about the APC are available on the journal website.


5. Referencing Style

References must follow the IEEE reference format. Examples are provided below:

  • Journal Article: Author(s), "Title of article," Journal Name, vol. x, no. y, pp. z–z, Year.
  • Conference Paper: Author(s), "Title of paper," in Proceedings of Conference Name, Location, Year, pp. x–y.
  • Book: Author(s), Book Title, xth ed. City, Country: Publisher, Year.

Authors are encouraged to use reference management tools such as EndNote or Mendeley.
